Sushant Samirkumar Mishra is a promising left-handed batsman and left-arm medium-fast bowler representing Jharkhand in the domestic circuit. Hailing from Odisha, Mishra's journey to cricketing stardom commenced under the guidance of local coaches and mentors, where he began to carve out his path towards excellence. Born on December 23, 2000, he is 23 years old.

As he ascended through the ranks of various age groups in cricket, Mishra's talent shone brightly, particularly under the tutelage of the legendary Rahul Dravid during junior domestic championships. Under Dravid's mentorship, Mishra honed his skills and showcased his prowess as a formidable all-rounder on the rise.

Mishra's trajectory towards success reached new heights when he earned selection to represent India at the Under-19 level. With the national youth squad, he exhibited his potential as a fast bowler, consistently unsettling batsmen with his pace, bounce, and ability to move the ball both ways.

He made his List A debut soon after on 8 December 2021, for Jharkhand in the 2021–22 Vijay Hazare Trophy. Just a year later he made his first-class debut on 17 February 2022, for Jharkhand in the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) stage soon beckoned for Mishra, with his tall and well-built physique catching the eye of scouts. In 2022, he was signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad, showcasing his potential as a valuable addition to any franchise. His journey in the IPL continued to glide, after the Gujarat franchise picked him for Rs 2.20 cr ahead of the 2024 IPL season, further solidifying his status as a rising star in the cricketing landscape.
