Shreyas Iyer (45-off 73*) continued his dominant form with the bat and helped Team India defeat Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the 3rd T20I and clean sweep the three-match series. This is Team India's 12th successive T20I victory.
Shreyas Iyer (57*, 74*, 73*) became the fourth Indian to slam three consecutive half-centuries in the T20Is.
Chasing a sub-par 147, the Men in Blue cruised home in style with 19 balls to spare. Ravindra Jadeja was unbeaten at 22 off 15 balls.
It was yet another dominating performance from Rohit Sharma-led side as the hosts outclassed the visitors in every department to register an emphatic victory in Dharamsala.
Earlier, the top-order disappointed but Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka produced his career-best effort in T20Is to help his team post 146/5 after electing to bat first.
The right-handed batsman smashed a quickfire 38-ball 74 and shared a stand of 86* off 47 balls with Chamika Karunaratne.
Batting at a strike rate of 195, the visiting captain cut loose in the slog overs and remained unbeaten till the end.
Unlike the previous evening, Indian pacers struck in the powerplay and picked up five wickets early on.
Sri Lanka were 29 for 4 in 8.3 overs but they finished with 146 for the loss of just 1 extra wicket while India's bowling in death overs came under some scrutiny.
