WWE: What are the plans for Sasha Banks and Raw women’s championship?

Bengaluru, April 23: The women's division present on Raw was centred around the trio of Charlotte, Bayley and Sasha Banks for the better part of 2016. At times, fans have been tired of seeing the same matches for umpteenth number of times on the flagship show and the PPVs. This has made things stable at one point.

However, a drastic change was done to it during the Superstar Shakeup when Charlotte was sent to Smackdown Live. Furthermore, Alexa Bliss and Mickie James were sent to Raw to give quite a makeover to it.

Now, Alexa has already become the new number one contender for the Raw women's championship. A match between her and Bayley has been made official to take place at the Payback PPV. The reigning champion will defend it in her hometown of San Jose, California on April 30.



Now, the fans might be disheartened after their favourite Sasha was kept out of the title picture, even after Wrestlemania, they should stop worrying. This push of Alexa is temporary and Sasha is slated to carry the women's division forward in the near future.

As per reports from 434.com, Sasha versus Bayley would headline the second biggest event of the year, Summerslam. A heel turn for the Boss is reserved prior to the month of August so that these two can finally involve in a championship feud.



Ever since Bayley was brought to the main roster, fans wanted to see them reignited in their power-packed rivalry from NXT. After a long wait that is going to happen in this summer.

Also, The Boss will get the credit that she deserves in the Raw women's division by holding the championship for a longer span.

As for now, Bayley would start her feud with Alexa and will end up being successful while retaining the title. Sasha, on the other hand, will pick up a rivalry with the returning Emma.

These two feuds are said to be for temporary purposes upon conclusion of which Sasha-Bayley rivalry would grab the spotlight.
