WWE: Potential winner of the fatal-5-way match at Battleground

New Delhi, July 21: The Women's Championship picture on Smackdown was made clear on last week's show. It was announced by Shane McMahon that a fatal 5-way match will take place at the Battleground PPV to determine the number one contender for the title.

Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Natalya, Tamina, and Lana were chosen to compete in this match which would be contested under elimination capacity. The winner will get to face the champion, Naomi for the title at Summerslam.

Now, quite expectedly, the speculations are ongoing about the outcome of the match. According to the rumor mill, none other than Charlotte Flair is the most favorite to emerge as the winner and then go on to face Naomi at the biggest event of the summer.



Both of these women are two of the biggest names on the blue brand and hence this would turn out to be a thrilling encounter. The Queen has hinted the same while giving an interview on WWE.com stating that she might become a 'triple crown' winner at Summerslam.

“At the end of the day I am the Queen, I came to Smackdown Live to represent a brand and be the best... and be the first ever Triple Crown Winner."

She was the NXT Women's champion following it with winning the Raw Women's title. The only title which is missing from her trophy cabinet is the gold from Smackdown and that might happen on August 20th.

The Naomi vs. Charlotte rivalry was kicked off once during the post-Wrestlemania season. But, the creative team did not continue it in order to reserve it for a bigger occasion like this. We should keep in mind that the Money in the Bank holder, Carmella can be involved in the title picture, at any point.

She could cash in the contract at any point ruining the possibility of Charlotte getting crowned with gold. In that case, from Summerslam onwards, we will witness the rivalry between Carmella and Naomi for the title.
