WWE NXT: Jordynne Grace makes in-ring debut; Heritage Cup retained
After a surreal opening night on WWE NXT, last week, Jordynne Grace was out to display her in-ring skills in front of the audience as well as the reigning NXT Women's Champion and her performance turned out to be quite impressive.
In the opening match of the June 4 episode of WWE NXT, the TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace defeated Stevie Turner in a singles contest with NXT's Roxanne Perez sitting at the commentary table with Hall of Famer Booker T and Vic Joseph.

In this showcase match, Grace dominated throughout against the newbie. Following a powerslam and a splash off the middle ropes, Turner was easily pinned by the champion via the juggernaut driver finisher.
After the match, Perez held the NXT Women's Title belt high above her head as she confronted Grace in the ring. She put her title down and shoved Grace who shoved her back, causing her to take a bump in the ring.
Grace further countered Perez's attack with a tilt-a-whirl, but Perez managed to escape her grasp and evade through the ramp. As Perez gave an angry look, Grace stood tall with her Knockouts Title inside the ring to end the segment.
As announced by NXT general manager Ava, last week, Roxanne Perez's opponent for the women's title at the Battleground premium live event will be Jordynne Grace. The TNA Knockouts Championship won't be on the line in this match.
In more news from this week's NXT, Tony D'Angelo defeated Damon Kemp to retain the Heritage Cup. The ongoing feud between The Family and the No Quarter Catch Crew continued through this match as both factions were present at ringside.
In round three of the match, Kemp executed a rolling DVD and scored a pin but D'Angelo was saved by the bell which rang before the third count. D'Angelo quickly recovered with a Spinebuster to score the win in the fourth round.
With this win, D'Angelo has now gone through his first successful title defense of his NXT Heritage Cup reign. He won the cup by scoring a win over Kemp's stablemate Charlie Dempsey on the May 14 episode of NXT.
