WWE: Nikki Bella confirms her hiatus following Wrestlemania
Bengaluru, April 6: The initial reports during the mixed tag team match build up suggested that John Cena teaming up with Nikki Bella was done with a purpose. The first reason behind WWE pushing for the match up was purely for marketing profitability.
The second reason was said to be Nikki Bella's incapability of competing inside the squared circle in the post-Wrestlemania season.

She might not get another chance to team up with her real-life partner due to her neck concussions. The injury was reportedly giving her troubles forcing her to retire at some point.
These went viral on the internet suggesting that the mixed tag team match at Wrestlemania would be Nikki's last match in the WWE.
After the much-anticipated proposal happened, the speculations went wild. However, the rumours of Nikki taking retirement are not true.
Nikki appeared during the Wrestlemania Axxess event for a fan interaction session. She was asked about the speculations spread about her time-off.
She confirmed that due to some of the complexity in her neck, she will have to take a short hiatus from in-ring competition.
But, there's nothing serious about it since she would be back soon. This also wiped out the rumours of her potential retirement from the WWE.
In the meantime, the listings for the WWE house shows following Wrestlemania is out.
Almost all of them from the Smackdown brand have enlisted her in some sort of tag team contests starting from May.
This wiped out the chances of the longest reigning Divas champion in the WWE history.
It means the hiatus might not go beyond for more than one or two months. This news was further supported in a news round up on 434.com which stated that there's no possibility of Nikki Bella taking retirement following her Wrestlemania match.
In case you don't know, John Cena will also be away from WWE for a long time to film the movie “The Pact". He is not expected to come back until Summerslam comes around.
