WWE intends to bring back the legendary Rey Mysterio

Bengaluru, July 29: Rey Mysterio is the one superstar who has always been a fan favorite throughout his entire career. He changed the course for the little guys performing in the company showing that even they can be relevant to the roster and feature in the championship picture, as well.

The masked Luchador had gone on to become a 3-time World Champion in his professional wrestling career with the WWE alongside his charisma.

Despite the popularity he had globally, WWE did not use him properly during his last tenure. He ended up being a jobber in the year 2014 when he left the company. An ego problem occurred between him and Vince McMahon which was the main reason for his departure.

However, a scenario of his return was created with the birth of the 205 Live show for the cruiserweights present in the company.

The Boss wanted him badly for this particular roster since his presence will be more than handy to pull up the tv ratings. Considering his growing age, the “master of 619" did not disagree with it, at all.

In recent times, the speculations of Rey Mysterio returning to the WWE are extremely high since his contract with the owners of the Lucha Underground show is over.

Ever since departing WWE, he used to perform on the Mexico-based wrestling promotion which came to an end and he finally intends to jump ship.

According to Sports Illustrated, WWE is trying hard to get the beloved superstar back on board. This will also fill the spot of a Mexican representative in the company which is vacant ever since Alberto Del Rio left last year. Rey was spotted with WWE superstars in Nashville following the Monday Night Raw.

It is to be noted that WWE's rival promotion GFW is also trying very hard to get Mysterio under their wings. The decision completely depends on the veteran himself who is currently looking to end his professional wrestling career on a high.

WWE's chance of getting him back are better than GFW's as he is training his son Dominick to become a wrestler in the company.

Signing with his former employer means he will get to use the world class facilities available at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. We have to wait a little longer to get the confirmed news on this matter.
