WWE Battleground results with video highlights: July 23, 2017
Bengaluru, July 24: The WWE Battleground PPV was hosted by the Smackdown brand as we witnessed the return of the Punjabi Prison match in the main event of the night.
The pay-per-view also included seven more matches on the stacked card.

Check out the results from Battleground that emanated from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Shinsuke Nakamura Vs Baron Corbin
This match turned out to be pretty boring despite the two being physical competitors. Baron Corbin hit Nakamura with a low blow to force the referee to call for the bell. Aftermath, he also delivered an End of Days to put his opponent down.
AJ Styles Vs Kevin Owens (United States Championship)
The crowd was stunned after Kevin Owens pulled off another shocker. Styles was on the verge of victory with a cross-face locked in but Owens rolled him up for the pin and captured the US title at Battleground.
Sami Zayn Vs Mike Kanellis (with Maria Kanellis)
Maria tried hard to hand her husband the win, once again. But, Sami Zayn came right back into the contest with an exploder suplex and the Helluva kick to pick up the win and a sweet redemption.
The Usos Vs the New Day (Smackdown tag team Championship)
We crowned the new tag team champions on Smackdown in the form of The New Day. Kofi Kingston hit Jimmy Uso with a Trouble in Paradise and Woods followed with a flying elbow to pick up the win.
John Cena Vs Rusev (Flag match)
Rusev tried hard to choke Cena out with the accolade move. But, with inhuman power, Cena held him up on his shoulder and delivered an Attitude Adjustment through the table. Cena was the first one to pull off the flag from the pole and eventually picked up the victory.
Charlotte Flair Vs Becky Lynch Vs Natalya Vs Tamina Vs Lana (fatal-5-way elimination match)
Natalya pulled off a shocker by pinning none other than Charlotte and won the contest. Becky Lynch was the one to eliminate Tamina and Lana. But, Natalya rolled up both Becky and Charlotte to eliminate and emerge the new number one contender.
Jinder Mahal Vs Randy Orton (WWE Championship Punjabi Prison match)
The Great Khali turned out to be the deciding factor in the match. He showed up as a surprise and choked out Randy Orton helping Jinder Mahal. The champion escaped the Punjabi Prison after the shocking attack, to retain his title at Battleground.
