WWE Backlash 2023: Spoilers on Title changes and Main Event winner

Bengaluru, May 6: Within a few hours from now, WWE will host their annual Backlash Premium Live Event. For the first time, a show under this chronology is getting hosted outside the proper USA territory in Puerto Rico.

The native crowd of the small island is more than ecstatic to witness the top WWE Superstars bringing in live in-ring action at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan and the festivities are already underway through SmackDown.

At Backlash, the main event will witness a fresh bout where the newly turned heel Brock Lesnar will go one-on-one with Monday Night Raw roster talent, Cody Rhodes, and the top babyface star seems the favorite to come out as the winner.

Via BetOnline, the last-minute betting odds for Backlash 2023 have been revealed and Rhodes, standing at -200 overtook the earlier favorite Lesnar, now at +140. This win should put Rhodes back in the world title hunt on Raw.

Speaking of titles, three championships from Raw and Smackdown will be hanging in the balance at Backlash and being a filler pay-per-view before Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, no title change is expected on tonight's show.

The Eradicator of Judgment Day, Rhea Ripley is miles ahead (-1666) of her challenger, Puerto Rico's own, Zelina Vega (+650) to retain her Smackdown Women's Title that she won against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39.

Same is the case with Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair. Being a pro, she's another heavy favorite (-1000) to retain against rookie IYO SKY of DAMAGE CTRL (+400) and continue with her championship reign that started all the way back at WrestleMania 38 in 2022.

United States Champion Austin Theory (-333) is also favored to retain his title in a Triple Threat against Bobby Lashley (+250) and Bronson Reed (+400). As you can guess, Reed is the likely name to digest the pinfall loss in the match.

In a special attraction, celebrity and Puerto Rico native Bad Bunny (-275) is expected to pick up his first singles win in WWE against Damian Priest (+175) in front of his family and friends in a San Juan Street Fight.

As for the rest of the matches of Backlash, The Bloodline is a close underdog to their long-standing rivals, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Matt Riddle while Seth Rollins should continue his momentums against the gigantic Omos.
