Jinder Mahal is happy to help WWE expand in the Indian market
Bengaluru, July 20: Jinder Mahal's rise to the occasion was so abrupt following the Wrestlemania season that the pro-wrestling fans were quite shocked.
He used to be a jobber prior to the month of April while being on Raw. But, the shift to Smackdown Live changed his life forever, as he became the number one contender.

In the very next PPV from the blue brand, Backlash, he was able to dethrone Randy Orton from his title reign and earn the WWE Championship. This sent the entire WWE Universe into a frenzy as to why the WWE make such a huge move.
It was a master-stroke from the WWE creative's perspective since they wanted to capture the Indian market for a very long time.
Now that Jinder Mahal is the champion representing 1.3 billion people from the country, it is quite easy for the brand to attract tmuch bigger audience.
This is also the reason why the Modern Day Maharaja is having a longer title run and might not lose it until the month of September.
Jinder is 2-0 up against The Viper, Randy Orton which is quite a huge accomplishment in his pro career. This is an indication as to how much the WWE is determined to establish Jinder as the Alpha male on the Smackdown Live brand.
In an interview with 'India Today', the WWE Champion went on to say that he is happy to represent his country and be of help to the company in helping their growth in and around the subcontinent:
“WWE sees India as a huge opportunity and wants to continue to build its base."
"Personally, I hope that being a champion will increase the WWE Universe in India because I know that Indian fans are really passionate and I want to be WWE Champion in India."
A tour keeping Jinder Mahal as the champion might be evident at some point, and he confirmed the same by stating:
“There is no date confirmed yet, but WWE is working very hard at the moment to conserve a date. I am personally very excited to come to India."
The above-mentioned tour might happen once the Summerslam PPV is over. According to the previous reports, September is going to be the month when Jinder returns to his homeland.
