Impact in WWE women’s division on Ronda Rousey’s arrival

Bengaluru, February 2: After months of speculation of her arrival in the biggest pro-wrestling promotion of the world, Ronda Rousey finally joined the WWE's women's division at the Royal Rumble PPV event.

Thirty superstars performed in this historic Royal Rumble match. So, Rousey's arrival not only cut short the winner, Asuka's celebration but also took away the spotlight from all the female superstars. The participants of the match did not get the moment that they deserved with Rousey - a mainstream name - sudden entry into the WWE.

Most of the sports media houses covered the former UFC Superstar's arrival instead of highlighting the women's Royal Rumble which was not fair, at all. So, this started some negative backlashes on the social media. Names like Nia Jax, Sasha Banks, and Nikki Bella took shots at the MMA performer complaining about this.

Both Nikki and Nia expressed their frustrations via their Twitter account that Ronda Rousey stole the show from them which she does not deserve. Meanwhile, in an interview with USA Today, Sasha Banks was asked about the newest member of their roster where she also revealed a clear displeasure at the famous name,

“I have nothing nice to say so I can’t say anything at all. So that’s it. I got nothing nice to say. I’m gonna keep it at that. You’re not gonna get nothing out of me.”

However, according to the reports from ESPN, the lifelong fan of the WWE has signed a full-time contract with the company. So, all the members of the roster have to deal with her in the upcoming future as she is set to take over the division.

Meanwhile, according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the entire women's division will get a huge push in terms of booking. To match up with the level of Ronda Rousey, the present superstars will be booked in the strongest way possible. The upcoming Elimination Chamber match is a process of the same. The officials are trying to give her the best platform to perform handing her strong opponents.
