AEW Full Gear 2024: First Match Announced Featuring Ex-World Champion MJF
In about a month from now, All Elite Wrestling will present their next pay-per-view event in the form of the 2024 edition of Full Gear and the first match set for that night could possibly see MJF battling his current nemesis.
As learned on last night’s weekly episode of Dynamite, the former world heavyweight champion will compete against either Adam Cole or Roderick Strong at November’s AEW Full Gear PPV show based on whoever fulfills a given criteria.

On the October 24 episode of AEW Dynamite, Adam Cole was about to tell another story, but he was interrupted by Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, and Mike Bennett and they were ready to finish the story with MJF.
This led Cole to once again call out MJF on the show, but he was rather greeted by another video package. From a massage parlor, MJF laid out terms for a potential match with either Cole or Strong.
MJF said that he would face one of them, and all they have to do is win three matches on TV. Whoever wins the first set of three matches will get to face him at AEW Full Gear.
It was further clarified by MJF that he will not be appearing on AEW programming until the upcoming PPV show while Cole will make his in-ring return on next week’s Fright Night edition of Dynamite on the occasion of Halloween.
This marks Cole’s first match in over a year as he’s been recuperating from an ankle injury at the Dynamite Grand Slam in 2023 September. He got physical for the first time appearing at WrestleDream PPV, earlier this month by attacking MJF.
MJF vs. Adam Cole or Roderick Strong is the only matchup announced for AEW Full Gear 2024 scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey marking the annual show’s sixth edition.
