AEW Dynamite: Britt Baker’s return and world champion announced for August 14 episode
One of the four pillars of All Elite Wrestling, Britt Baker's storyline as well as real-life suspension from the company are both over as she appeared on this week's AEW Dynamite via a video call.
Next week, an in-person return has been announced for the former Women's World Champion who will rekindle her ongoing feud with TBS Champion Mercedes Mone and Kamille en route to All In PPV.

After Mone's ally Kamille won a handicap match on Dynamite, Mone took the mic and once again thanked the EVPs of AEW, the Young Bucks for suspending Baker and keeping the dual champion protected.
Tony Schiavone interrupted the heel promo with a message from Christopher Daniels via Tony Khan which stated that Khan overruled the Bucks' decision and that Baker's suspension was lifted. Baker thereby appeared on the titantron "live via satellite."
Baker blasted Money by saying that whenever things don't go Mone's way, she takes her ball and goes home. She then affirmed of having just seven days to figure out how she would get her hands on Mone next week.
Baker's return will occur after she was suspended and fined by officials after a backstage confrontation with both MJF and his girlfriend Alicia Atout at the 250th edition of Dynamite. The suspension was believed to have lasted for one or two weeks, per the Wrestling Observer.
This week on Dynamite, Bryan Danielson was successful in defeating Jeff Jarrett in the main event of the show. Once the match was over, Swerve Strickland wanted his own tune-up for All In by competing in the match.
The AEW World Champion then challenged Danielson's Blackpool Combat Club teammate Wheeler Yuta to a match who was also standing in the ring in a match that was later confirmed for next week.
Strickland also wanted Bryan Danielson to be at ringside for this match so he could see why the champion is the most dangerous man in AEW. Bryan vs. Strickland in a career vs. title match has been announced for All In on August 25.
The August 14 AEW Dynamite episode takes place at the Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Virginia, marking it to be the second-last episode before this year's All In PPV. The current match card for the show goes as follows:
- AEW Swerve Strickland vs. Wheeler Yuta in a non-title match
- Britt Baker's in-person return
- Claudio Castagnoli and Kazuchika Okada come face-to-face
