Stefanie Voegele wins ITF Hyderabad title

Hyderabad, Mar 31 (UNI) Fourth seed Stefanie Voeglele came back from behind to quell sixth seed Liu Amber's challenge and win 10,000 dollar ITF women's tournament here today.

After losing the first set 5-7, Voegele capitalised on her opponent's mistakes and won the next two sets 7-5, 6-3 to clinch the title in over 150 minutes.

Voegele, who was on her first visit to India, failed to win 25,000 dollar ITF title in Mumbai as she lost to Akgul Amanadova of Uzbekistan in the final, but was happy to win the Hyderabad ITF.

Both the players played good shots and long rallies but the American-born Chinese Liu looked tired in the third set and her Swiss opponent took the advantage to easily capture the third set and the match.
