Sania storms into mixed doubles pre-quarters at French Open

Paris, June 2 (UNI) After the double disappointment in singles and doubles, Sania Mirza bounced back hard and along with Frenchman Fabrice Santoro trounced American-Czech pair of Vania King(USA) and Frantisek Ceramak 6-2, 6-0 to advance to the pre-quarterfinals of the mixed doubles competition at the French Open here.

Sania and her partner Santoro hardly broke a sweat and won the first set after converting both the breakpoints that came thier way.

The Indo-French pair was in ominous form in the second set and did not drop even a single game to seal the match in juat 46 minutes.

Sania-Fabrice now take on sixth seeded Serb-Slovenian combine of Nenad Zimonjic and Katarina Srebotnik who overpowered Canadian Daniel Nestor and Russian Elena Likhovtseva 6-2, 5-7, 10-7 in the first round.
