Sania pairs with Anabel Medina Garrigues in Australian Open doubles

Melbourne, Jan 15 (UNI) Sania Mirza teams up with Anabel Medina Garrigues and the 10th seeded Indo-Spaniard pair would kick off their doubles campaign in the Australian Open tomorrow against unseeded German Sandra Kloesel and Aravane Rezai of France.

Sania meets unseeded Ukrainian Olga Savchuk in her opening round singles match tomorrow.

Anabel is currently ranked 19th in doubles and the Spaniard was semifinalist at Rolland Garros and reached the quarterfinal in Wimbledon last year, although with diffirent partners. She was also a semifinalist here last year.

Sania, on the other hand, would hope to better her last year's performance. Teaming up with American Corina Morariu, Sania had made an early exit with a straight set defeat against 14th seeds Svetlana Kuznetsova (Russia) and Amelie Mauresmo (France) last year.
