Sania pairs up with Santoro, Paes-Damm seeded third in French Open

Paris, May 29 (UNI) Sania Mirza has paired up with Fabrice Santoro of France in the mixed doubles of French Open and they will take on German pair of Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Alexander Waske in the opening round.

In men's doubles, Leander Paes and his Czech partner Martin Damm have been seeded third and they are up against unseeded French pair of Jeremy Chardy and Jonathan Eysseric in the first round.

Paes and Damm have already won two ATP titles so far this season and the Indo-Czech duo would be aiming to pocket one more Grand Slam title since they won US Open last September.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Bhupathi and Czech Republic's Radek Stepanek will play 12th seeds Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski of Poland in the first round.

Bhupathi will also pair up with Argentine Paola Suarez against Paul Hanley of Australia and Tathiana Garbin of Italy in mixed doubles while Paes and Meghann Shaughnessy of USA play seven seeds Mike Bryan of USA and Chan Yung-Jan Chan of Chinese Taipei in the opening round.
