Sania Mirza enters Vancouver quarterfinals

Vancouver, Aug 7: Sania Mirza defeated American Laura Granville 6-2, 6-4 to enter the quarter finals of the Oldum Brown Vancouver Open tournament.

Unlike her tough fight against American Mallory Cecil in the first round, the top seed Indian took on Granville easily on Thursday, Aug 6 to move on to the quarter finals of the 175,000 dollar tourney.

In the quarterfinals, Sania will clash against local favourite Rebecca Marino. Rebecca defeated eighth seed Olivia Rogowska of Australia 7-5, 7-6 (0) to enter the round.
