Sania-Mettack book Cincinnati Open quarters

Cincinnati, USA, July 18 (UNI) Top seeds Sania Mirza and Bethanie Mettack of US stormed into the quarterfinals of Cincinnati Open doubles after a 6-4, 6-0 victory over the Colombian-Chinese pair of Catalina Castano and Meng Yuan here.

The Indo-American pair outplayed their unseeded rivals in the near hour-long first round tie of the 175,000 dollar Tier 3 hard court tournament.

In the last eight round, Sania-Mettack will take on either wildcards Kirsten Flower (USA) and Connie Hsu (China) or Lilia Osterloh (USA) and Anastasia Rodionova (Russia).

Sania, teaming up with Poland's Marta Domachowska, finished runners-up here last year.
