Sania grabs season's fourth doubles title in Pilot Pen
New Haven, Aug 26 (UNI) Sania Mirza grabbed season's fourth doubles title by winning the Pilot Pen tennis championship pairing with Maria Santangelo here.
The third seeded Indo-Italian pair upset top seeded Zimbabwean/American duo of Cara Black and Liezel Huber 6-1, 6-2 in the final of the 600,000 dollar Tier II hard court event.
This is Sania's seventh doubles title overall and the first pairing with Santangelo. It also gave her second Teir II crown in her career and third on hard court this season.
Sania had won her first doubles title in May in Morocco on clay, pairing with Vania King of United States.
She then won two hard court titles last month, first pairing with American Bethanie Mattek, whom she will pair with at the US Open -- at Cincinnati before clinching her third with Shahar Peer of Israel at Stanford a week later.
