Sania cruises into 3rd round of Wimbledon women's doubles

London, Jun 29 (UNI) Sania Mirza and her American partner Bethanie Mattek downed the Russian-Italian pair of Maria Kirilenko and Flavia Pennetta in straight sets to ease into the third round of the Wimbledon women's doubles event here today.

The Indo-American pair took little over an hour to ovecome their opponents 6-3, 6-4.

The 13th seeds will now take on the winners of the match between the British duo of Anne Keothavong and Melanie South and the Uzbek-Belarussian pair of Akgul Amanmuradova and Darya Kustova.
