Rastogi reaches semis, Divij Sharan out of ITF Futures
New Delhi, Feb 1 (UNI) Third seed Karan Rastogi lived up to his billings as he downed Korean Kyu-Tae Im 7-6 (5), 3-6, 6-3 to sail into the semi-finals of ITF Men's Futures tennis tournament at DLTA courts here today.
Rastogi will now meet in the last four stage six seeded Todor Enev of Bulgaria who beat Ashutosh Singh 1-6, 6-3, 6-4.
Another Indian, fourth seeded Divij Sharan also bite the dust as he was upset by Russian Alexander Kudryavtsev 2-6, 2-6 in another quarter-final match.
The eight seeded Alexander sets up a semi-final clash against fifth seeded Hyun-Woo Nam of Korea who scored a 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 victory over India's new Davis Cup member Vivek Shokeen.
Shokeen was on Tuesday named in India's Davis Cup squad for the Asia/Oceania tie against Uzbekistan.
