Paes-Hanley reach pre-quarters at Miami

Miami, Mar 29 (UNI) India's Tennis pride Leander Paes and his Australian partner Paul Hanley advanced to pre-quarterfinals of the US 3,770,000 dollars Sony Ericsson Open, ATP Masters Series event here.

The eighth seed Indo-Australian duo overcame a bad start to reach the pre-quarterfinals, they rallied from a set down to pip Yves Allegro of Switzerland and Paul-Henri Mathieu of France 2-6 6-0 10-3 in the first round last night.

The duo will next meet Christopher Kas of Germany and Dutch Rogier Wassen.

However, fourth seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and his Bahamas' partner Mark Knowles open their campaign against Czech pair Tomas Berdych and Lukas Dlouhy.
