Paes-Damm reach Ordina Open semifinal

's-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands, June 21 (UNI) Leander Paes and his Czech comrade-in-arms Martin Damm came up with a clinical show as they thrashed Danish-German pair of Kristian Pless and Benjamin Becker in straight sets to advance into the semi-final of the 353,450 euro Ordina Open here.

The Indo-Czech combine did not gave their rivals any chance and cruised to a comfortable 6-4, 6-4 victory.

In the first round match, the top seeded duo struggled before overcoming the unfainced French duo of Nicolas Devilder and and Julien Benneteau 6-7 (1), 7-5, 13-11 in match tiebreaker.

Paes-Damm will take on the winner of the quarterfinal match between Michael Kohlmann of Germany and Robert Lindstedt of Sweden, and Swiss Yves Allegro and Jim Thomas of America.
