Paes, Bhupathi to square-off in Miami

Miami, Apr 1 (UNI) Indian tennis stars Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi will face-off in the quarter-final of the 3,770,000 dollar Sony Ericsson Open, ATP Masters Series event at the Crandon Park here after winning their respective second round doubles matches.

The fourth seeded Indo-Bahamas pair of Bhupathi and Mark Knowles had a disastrous start, losing the first set, before staging a comeback to beat Russian Igor Andreev and Xavier Malisse of Belgium 2-6, 6-2, 10-5.

Paes, and his Australian partner Paul Hanley, seeded eighth, booked downed the German-Dutch duo of Kas Christopher and Rogier Wassen 6-4 4-6 10-7 in a hardfought encounter.
