Nadal, Wozniacki top seeds for Australian Open

Melbourne, Jan 13 (AP) Rafael Nadal and CarolineWozniacki will carry top seedings into next week''s AustralianOpen, reflecting their No. 1 rankings in men''s and women''stennis.

With seedings no longer done on organisers'' discretionbut purely on rankings, nine-time Grand Slam winner Nadal wasnamed today as leading the men''s seedings from close rivalRoger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Sweden''s Robin Soderling.

Wozniacki heads the women''s seedings from Vera Zvonareva,Kim Clijsters and Venus Williams.

Spain has three players among the top-10 men''s seeds:Nadal, David Ferrer at No. 7 and Fernando Verdasco at No. 9.

Andy Murray of Britain comes in at No. 5 and Andy Roddick ofthe United States - one of four seeded Americans - at No. 8.
