Ivan Cerovic wins 15,000 dollars ITF Men's Future title

Gulbarga, Oct 27 (UNI) Ivan Cerovic of Croatia clinched the 15,000 Dollar ITF Men's Future singles title, defeating Dekel Valtzer of Israel in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.

In the match that lasted 105 minutes, third seed Cerovic, who had been shown the door in the Bellary Open in the first round itself by Indian Hard court National Champion Ashutosh Singh, concentrated more on his serving without giving room for fifth seed Dekel to settle.

Playing an aggressive game right from the beginning, Cerovic, who took a little time to settle down, was forced to concede three points.

However, he regained the rhythm to win the first set (6-3).

At one time in the second set, Dekal was making a headway having won four points.

However, the Croatian lad put the breaks on his rival, winning the set 6-4 to lift the title.
