Indian challenge ends at Islamabad ITF event

New Delhi, Oct 22 (UNI) Rohan Gide and Yannick Nelord suffered contrasting defeats in their second round matches and with that Indian challenge ended at the Islamabad ITF event today.

According to information received here, sixth seed Rohan Gide lost to Briton James Feaver, without offering any resistance 4-6, 1-6.

Another Indian in the fray Yannick Nelord put up a good fight before going down to Adrian Sikora of Slovak Republic 6-4, 3-6, 3-6.

Interestingly, no Pakistani player is in fray in the singles.

In the doubles Sunil Kumar Sipaeya and his Pakistani partner Aqeel Khan defeated the Indo-British pair of Rohan Gide and Andrew Fitzpatrick 7-6(4), 3-6, 12-10 to move into the semi-finals.
