CWG Tennis: Sania Mirza books spot in finals

New Delhi, Oct 8: Close on the heels of her male counterpart Somdev Devvarman's majestic march into the finals, Sania Mirza has also booked a spot for herself in the finals of the debut tennis tournament at the Delhi Commonwealth Games.

The second seed India defeated sixth seed Australian Olivia Rogowska 1-6 6-4 6-4 to sail into the women's singles final on Friday, Oct 8.

Sania Mirza, who has already ensured at least a silver medal by reaching this stage, is now in the run to grab the gold for the host country.
