China's Zheny ousts Sania from Pan Pacific Open
Tokyo, Sep 29: In a two hour battle, Chinese Jie Zheng ousted Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza from the Pan Pacific Open on Monday, Sep 28.
Sania went down 7-5, 2-6, 3-6 with a first-round defeat in a marathon three setter. The Indian needed this win to qualify for the 2 million dollars hard-court event.
Sania fought hard in the first part of the game but her wrist injury seemed to catch up with her later, leading to her defeat.
