Champion Sharapova beaten in third round by Radwanska

NEW YORK, Sept 1 (Reuters) Champion Maria Sharapova's US Open campaign ended in the third round today following a 6-4 1-6 6-2 defeat by Pole Agnieszka Radwanska.

The 18-year-old Radwanska, who reached the fourth round here for the first time, condemned the Russian second seed to her earliest grand slam defeat since she lost in the third round here in 2004.
