Bhupathi-Zimonjic in Pilot Pen semi-final

New Havens, Aug 24 (UNI) Mahesh Bhupathi and Nenad Zimonjic have advanced into the semi-final with a 7-6(3), 7-6(3) win over David Ferrer and Albert Motanes of Spain in the Pilot Pen Tennis championship here.

In the quarter-final match, the top seeded Indo-Serbian pair pipped their unseeded opponents in one hour and 23 minutes in the 675,000 hard court lead up event to the US Open which starts on August 27.

Bhupathi-Zimonjic now meet another unseeded duo of Eric Butorac (USA) and Ashley Fisher (Australia) in the round of four.

Butorac-Fisher had accounted for Czech pair of Frantisek Cermak and Leos Friedl 6-2, 6-4 in another quarter-final match.
