Bhupathi-Knowels enter Swiss Indoors final

Basel, Switzerland, Oct 25 (UNI) India's Mahesh Bhupathi and his Bahamian partner Mark Knowles outpointed the Argentine pair of Jose Acasuso and Agustin Calleri to enter the final of the 891,000 euro ATP Swiss Indoor tournament here today.

Bhupathi-Knowles, Tennis Masters Cup qualifiers, defeated Acasuso and Calleri in straight sets 7-5, 6-2 in just an hour and 17 minutes.

The Indo-Bahamas pair improved to 35-16 on the season highlighted by two ATP titles at Memphis and Dubai from six finals to earn the third place in the Stanford ATP Doubles Race.

The duo will face the winner of the second semi-final between David Nalbandian and Eduardo Schwank of Argentina and Christopher Kas and Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany.

In the quarters, Bhupathi-Knowles made a brilliant comeback after losing the first set to prevail over Jordan Kerr of Australia and Jarkko Nieminen of Finland 5-7, 6-3, 10-5 in just 81 minutes.
