Back injury forces Murray out of Monte Carlo event
MONTE CARLO, Apr 17 (Reuters) Briton Andy Murray has pulled out of the Monte Carlo Masters with a back injury today.
The eighth seeded Scot was due to play Frenchman Marc Gicquel in a second round match later today, but the world number 10 failed to recover from that back problem that forced him to retire from a doubles match on Monday.
Murray's place in the draw will be taken by a lucky loser.
