Asian Games: Somdev wins gold in tennis singles
Guangzhou, Nov 23: Indian tennis player Somdev Devvarman created history in Asian Games 2010 by winning gold in tennis singles event. It was India's first tennis singles gold in the history of Asiad.
Somdev Devvarman defeated Uzbakistans' Dennis Istomin 6-2, 6-1 in the men's tennis singles finals to grab the 7th yellow metal for India.

Earlier on Monday, Nov 22 Somdev along with Sanam Singh won gold in men's tennis doubles event.
With this gold, India's medal tally reached to 35 with 7 gold, 11 silver and 17 bronze.
