Venus beats Seles to reach gold medal match
Sydney: Venus Williams reached the women's gold medal match in the Olympic tennis tournament on Monday, beating fellow-American Monica Seles 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 in the semi-finals.
The second-seeded Williams needed an hour and 22 minutes to defeat Seles, the third seed, and extend her winning streak to 31 consecutive matches.
