1. Rohit Sharma fails to score big in Ranji Trophy

Rohit Sharma fell after getting a decent start in the 2nd innings of the Ranji Trophy match between Mumbai and Jammu & Kashmir. The India captain, playing in the competition after almost a decade, scored 28 runs but failed to make it big. Rohit was dismissed for just 3 runs in the first innings.

2. Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane argue with Umpire after Iyer's dismissal

Shreyas Iyer was in a heated exchange after being given out by the umpire in the Ranji match against Jammu and Kashmir. The India batter got dismissed for 17 runs but was not amused with the verdict as he doubted the legitimacy of the catch. Mumbai captain Ajinkya Rahane also got involved in the dialogue but Iyer was deemed out.

3. Virender Sehwag poised for divorce after 20 years of Marriage

Former India batter Virender Sehwag has reportedly separated with wife Aarti Ahlawat after almost 20 years of marriage. Sehwag, who got married in 2024, is reportedly living alone and they both have also unfollowed each other from social media. Although the India legend is yet to make an official comment, their marriage is under scrutiny.

4. 3 Indians make the cut to ICC Test team of the Year 2024

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah are the three Indian players who have made it to ICC's Test team of 2024, which was released on Friday. Bumrah had a stellar calendar year with the ball while Jaiswal stood tall with his bat.

5. Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma make Women's ODI team of 2024

India women's batting star Smriti Mandhana and all-rounder Deepti Sharma have been included in the Women's ODI team of 2024. Mandhana has been superb with the bat, where she recently scored her 10th ODI century. South Africa's Laura Wolvaardt has been named captain of the team.

6. Ravindra Jadeja picks 12 wickets in Ranji return, Rishabh Pant fails

Ravindra Jadeja starred with the ball for Saurashtra as they beat Delhi with ease in the Ranji Trophy. Jadeja picked up 12 wickets across two innings to dismantle the Delhi batting, who got bundled out for just 94 runs in the second innings. Delhi's star player Rishabh Pant failed with the bat as he could only manage 18 runs across two innings.

7. Manchester United secure crucial Europa League victory over Rangers

Manchester United secured a crucial 2-1 win over Rangers in the Europa League to almost ensure their qualification as one of top 8 teams. Bruno Fernandes scored the 92nd minute winner for the Red Devils, who will face Fulham next in the Premier League.

8. Novak Djokovic walkover sees Zverev advance to Australian Open Final

Novak Djokovic's unfortunate injury in the semifinal of the Australian Open has put Alexander Zverev into the final of the Australian Open. The injury took place after the first set tie-breakers, which was enough to put the Serbian out of action with immediate effect. In the other semifinal, Jannik Sinner is set to face Ben Shelton.

9. Manchester City break bank for Omar Marmoush

Defending Premier League champions Manchester City have roped in Egyptian striker Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt for a mammoth €75 million fee. Marmoush, an accomplished forward, will be hoping to take City out of the slump. Apart from Marmoush, City have also signed centre backs Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis.
