Youth Olympics: Indian wrestler Pooja wins silver
Singapore, Aug 17: Defeating three opponents, wrestler Pooja Dhanda won the first medal for India at the the Youth Olympic Games on Monday, Aug 16.
Pooja claimed the silver medal after beating American Burkert Jenna Rose (3-0), Singapore's Puteri Erna Natasha (4-0) and Bulgaria's Ahmed Dzhanan (3-0) in Group A.
She was, however, kept away from grabbing the Gold in the 60kg freestyle category by Baatarzorig Battsetseg of Mongolia, who defeated the Indian 1-3 in the final.
