Ya Ni takes front grid in DLF Women's Indian Open
New Delhi, Mar 15 (UNI) Chinese Taipei's Tseng Ya Ni fired a two-under 70 to leap into the lead at a tally of 140 after the second round of the 100,000 dollar DLF Women's Indian Open here today.
Thailand's Russamee Gulyanamitta, tied-second overnight with Ya Ni, continued to occupy the second position with a card of 71 for a 141 total at the DLF Golf and Country Club.
In contrast, round one leader and one of India's leading amateurs, Meghna Bal, did not get her act right as she signed off with a two-over 74 to drop to third position.
Another Indian, Irina Brar succumbed to the strong winds and had a poor round of seven-over 79 to slip to tied-ninth spot with Chinese Taipei's Shih Huei Ju and Japan's Rie Shiraki.
The cut was applied at 15-over 159, with 50 professionals and one amateur making it to the final round.
