Wushu coach stripped of Vishwamitra Award

Bhopal, Apr 6 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Wushu Association Secretary Manoj Gupta, who has been charged with raping a minor student, has been stripped off the prestigious Vishwamitra Award.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan gave the information while laying the foundation stone of State Men's Hockey Academy at sports hostel complex here yesterday.

Mr Chouhan said cash component of Rs 50,000 given as a part of the award would also be taken back.

The Wushu coach has been charged with raping a minor in Jabalpur recently.
