WTT Feeder Istanbul 2026: Indian Duo Sutirtha and Ayhika Mukherjee Clinch Women's Doubles Title
In a thrilling display of grit and precision, Sutirtha Mukherjee and Ayhika Mukherjee secured the women’s doubles crown at the WTT Feeder Istanbul 2026 in Turkey.
The fourth-seeded Indian pair defeated the top-seeded Chinese Taipei duo of Chien Tung-chuan and Li Yu-jhun 3-1 in the final (11-8, 12-10, 3-11, 12-10) at the $30,000 tournament.

After dropping the third game, the Mukherjees trailed 0-8 in the fourth but mounted a spectacular comeback to close it 12-10. Their mental toughness against an experienced pair with Olympic pedigree proved decisive. This victory marks another strong achievement for the duo, who are fast becoming one of India’s most reliable doubles combinations on the WTT circuit.
The Istanbul title adds to their growing resume. Earlier in 2026, they lifted the WTT Feeder Cappadocia II trophy and finished as runners-up in Vadodara. Their breakthrough came with a historic bronze medal at the 2024 Asian Games in Hangzhou, where they stunned Chinese world champions Chen Meng and Wang Yidi in the quarter-finals. The latest win further boosts their world ranking points and strengthens India’s presence in international doubles play.
This performance reflects the broader momentum in Indian table tennis, with the WTT Feeder series providing crucial exposure and competitive opportunities against Asian powerhouses.
