Werder vow Klose will not go to Bayern next season
BERLIN, May 2 (Reuters) Werder Bremen sporting director Klaus Allofs firmly ruled out letting Miroslav Klose move to Bayern Munich next season in response to a newspaper report today saying the Germany striker was bound for the club.
''It's definite that we will not release him to another club in Germany after the end of this season,'' Allofs said.
Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper reported that Klose would either go to Munich at the end of this season for 15 million euros or transfer for free to Bayern after next season when his Werder contract expires.
Klose met Bayern executives at an airport hotel in Hanover last week. He apologised to Werder, who are in a tight race for the Bundesliga championship with three matches left, and said the meeting was only ''informational'' and not contract talks.
The German Football Association (DFB) has started an investigation into the meeting to see if Bayern, who are fourth in the table and have no chance of defending their title, violated league rules in meeting with Klose.
