We hope to do better this season: Baichung

Kolkata, June 18 (UNI) Mohun Bagan's captain for the season 2007-08 Baichung Bhutia promised a better show from the club this season.

Talking to the media this evening, Baichung said, '' We would like the put the last season behind us and play beter soccer. '' Asked about the choice of taking Carlos Silva as the coach, he said, ''A game is assessed on two departments. A team flourishes or flounders on two grounds. Either its a tactical blunder or its under-performance from the players. As far as carlos was concerned there was no lacunae in the tactical side.'' ''I believe we would do well under his guidance,'' he said.

Asked to comment on the five players that left Mohun bagan, he said, ''They are all good players. I wish them well.'' And then added humourously, ''They should only play poorly when they play Mohun bagan.'' The players who moved from Mohun Bagan to East Bengal are Mehtab Hossain, Mehrajuddin, Tomba Singh, Dippendu Biswas and Subrata Paul.
