Waqar appointed Pak team's bowling/fielding coach for Oz series

Lahore, Dec. 9 (ANI): Former captain Waqar Younis has been appointed as Pakistan's bowling and fielding coach, The News reports.

According to a spokesperson of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Younis would assume charge during the forthcoming Australia tour, where Pakistan would be playing three Test matches, five ODI's and a T20 match.

Younis has served as bowling coach of the national team in 2006, but he had resigned from the post after altercations with the then PCB chief Dr. Nasim Ashraf.ormer speedster's appointment has surprised many when Aaquib Javed, a former fast bowler himself, is already serving as the assistant coach of the team.
