WAG sues Everton ace for breach of promise to marry her

London, Aug 31 (ANI): Everton star footballer Steven Pienaar faces action for breach of promise from his ex-girlfriend and mother of his girl child, Skyla.

Danielle Steeneveld is suing Pienaar for a sum equivalent of 850,000 pounds for failing to keep a promise to marry her.

The couple met two years ago and she described how she and Pienaar had "fallen madly in love" and that she gave up living in South Africa to be with him and they subsequently had a daughter.

Pienaar proposed in February but then broke off the relationship, according to court papers lodged in Johannesburg, The Sun reports.

Steeneveld wants 300,000 pounds for injury to her good name for giving birth out of wedlock, 515,00 pounds compensation and 39,500 pounds for loss of earnings by giving up work.

His lawyers have indicated they will fight the claims. (ANI)
