Vijay Patil to be feted for popularizing modern Taekwondo

Mumbai, Nov 20 (UNI) Vijay D Patil, president of Padmashree D Y Patil Sports Academy, will be felicitated on November 25 here for his contribution to popularising modern Taekwondo.

The function, to be held at the CCI, will also see Grandmaster Ahn-Sun, Head of K Tigers, Korea, give a media presentation and a demonstration by his team on Taekwondo, a release issued here today stated.

Taekwondo, an Olympic sport, is just not a sport but also an important fitness routine, with over a million active Taekwondo practitioners in India.

The function will also see a discussion on modern Taekwondo, the release added.
