ISSF World Cup: Vijay Kumar wins Silver for India

New Delhi, Apr 23: 23-year-old Vijay Kumar won a silver medal in the 25 metres rapid fire pistol event on Wednesday, Apr 22 in the Beijing International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup . This accounts for the second medal India has won in ISSF this time.

Vijay Kumar shot a score of 780.4, coming second to a 780.5 shot by Keith Sanderson of USA who won the Gold. The Indian contender narrowly missed the Gold with just a difference of 0.1. The Bronze was won by Teruvoshi Akiyama of Japan with a score of 777.5.

Heena Singh, won the other Silver Medal in ISSF for India in air pistol event on Tuesday, Apr 21.
