Anand missing Gary Kasparov


New Delhi, Oct 16 2007 : Freshly crowned world champion Viswanathan Anand of India today said that the chess world is missing the presence of former champion Gary Kasparov from the competitive field. Anand arrived in India late on 15th Oct after winning the global tournament in Mexico city by beating a field that included eight of the world's top ten chess players.

He said that he regarded beating Gary Kasparov as a more memorable event than winning the world championship.
