VDCA elects Subba Rao as President

Visakhpatnam, Aug 3 (UNI) Former Andhra Cricket Association(ACA) President D V Subba Rao was elected as the President of the Visakhapatnam District Cricket Association (VDCA) here today.

The Exective Committees of all the Sports Councils, including seven Vice-Presidents and Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) Vice-President P R Narayanasami, participated in the election.

The others, who won the elections were K Parathasaradhi, Secretary, M S R K Prasad, Treasurer.

Mr Rao's panel got 27 votes against the rival panels, which were led by Congress MLA U V Ramanamrthy Raju (Kanna Babu) and Gandhi Babji. The other two panels got nine votes each.

The VDCA was affiliated to the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA).
