UP govt to applaud state players with cash rewards in olympic

Lucknow, May 6 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government has announced a cash reward for state players, who will win Olympic games starting in August this year.

UP sports and youth welfare minister (Independent charge) Ayodhya Prasad Pal gave this information here today.

In single event game of Olympic, gold medalists would get Rs 30 lakh, silver medalists would receive Rs 20 lakh, while the bronze medalists will get Rs 15 lakh, Mr Pal informed.

Similarly, in single event of Common wealth game/Asian games/World Cup, gold, silver and bronze medalists would get Rs 15, 10 and 8 lakh as the cash reward respectively.

Whereas, in team game of Olympic, the gold, silver and bronze medalists will receive Rs 15, 12 and 10 lakh cash respectively, while the three medalsits of Common wealth/Asian/Afro Asian Game/World Cup would get Rs 10, 8 and 6 lakh cash award respectively.
